Summit
Communications, Inc., started as a telecommunications services
company, which was incorporated as a “C” corporation in the
state of Hawaii in May 1996. Following a year of market research,
product planning, and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals
from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Hawaii
Public Utilities Commission (PUC), Summit began actual operations
in May 1997. Demonstrating exceptional competence in marketing,
engineering, operations, and customer service, Summit achieved
$1 million in revenues in its second year of operations, and
doubled that amount in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000.
In
the year 2000, Summit has expanded and diversified it’s presence
and opportunities in the telecommunications field by combining
the best in interactive web and telecommunications technology
through it’s Hawaii based call center operations. This service
provides inbound / outbound answering, telemarketing, teleordering
and web-connected services, capable of worldwide coverage,
24 hours, seven days a week.
While
a traditional call center's method is transaction based, Summit
differentiates itself by focusing on customer service. Providing
each caller with the professional service they deserve, yet
maintaining fast and efficient service satisfying the client
and caller.
In
addition to it’s own call center applications, Summit’s capabilities
in providing competitive, comprehensive, turnkey telecom services
resulted in the company establishing long-term operations
and customer service contracts to support two significant
Hawaii businesses, the Physicians Exchange of Honolulu and
Sandwich Isles Communications, Inc.
